After a disappointing period at McLaren, Senna was finally able to move to the best team on the grid in 1994: Williams. The first races of the season were difficult as the FW16 was less stable than its predecessors. The opposition was also high due mainly to Michael Schumacher in his Benneton.<\/p>\n<p>On 1 May 1994, the unthinkable happened.
