The Lotus 38 was the first mid- engined car to win the Indianapolis 500. The car was used by Lotus between 1965 and 1968 and was driven by legendary driver Jim Clark. During the race, Clark took the first position at the start of the race and controlled the race completely. A.J. Foyt was second in a customized Lotus 34.
Artist John Ketchell is internationally known. He is an automotive artist who has received many assignments from both private and well known companies. When you look at Ketchell's work you see that speed intrigues him. His semi-abstract style gives us all a lot of freedom to interpret the art piece. At a young age, John was already gripped by racing, especially the Talbot-Lago GP soon became his favorite. After Art school in Preston, John soon became a professional artist.
